EarMaster is an easy and fun way to use your computer for ear training. Simple and challenging exercises drill and score you on 10 harmonic and rhythmic ear training areas. With EarMaster you will learn to identify and transcribe intervals, scales & modes, chords, chord progressions and tunes you hear, and learn to sight-read, imitate, and correct rhythms. The exercises have been chosen and developed in cooperation with music teachers and users of previous versions of EarMaster.
For the untrained ear: EarMaster is an excellent entrance to ear training for beginners. The build-in automatic tutor can advise you and adjust the difficulty based on the evaluation of your results. You don't need to know how to configure EarMaster for your needs, the tutor will do it for you.
For the trained ear: EarMaster can be configured 100% to your needs, so even advanced ears can be challenged. Adjust the tempo, playing, key, scale, length and much more. You can even define your own chords, intervals and scales if you have special needs.
In all exercises you can give your answers in different ways depending on your focus. Advanced Wave-to-MIDI technology enables you to sing and play the tones or clap the rhythms in the microphone. You can also use MIDI, use simple multiple choice or give the tones using one of the answer options on the screen: piano, guitar or notesheet.
All of your results are recorded allowing you to keep a close eye on your progress. Export the results to a diskette to continue your ear training at school and let your teacher follow your progress.
EarMaster Pro 4 supports the solmization system (do, re, mi, ...) and includes music theory materials within its help file and manual.
