XDAC is an ASP component that simplifies integrating and exchanging XML data with databases like SQL Server, Access, Foxpro, DB2, SQL Anywhere and Pervasive. Retrieves data in multiple XML formats such as DataSet, MasterDetail, NLevel and SelectList. Also includes a BlankRecord dataset for use in data binding. Can update databases by submitting a modified dataset (for a single record or group of records) back to XDAC. Advanced features include Data Refresh (re-query the database only when an XML file is stale), XML Paging (pull data from an XML file one page at a time), transforming XML results on the fly using XSLT, automatic auditing of database record updates (at a colum level), saving datasets to disk files (in addition to returning them to ASP), creating complex XML documents from multiple recordsets, performance logging, advanced error reporting (as XML), and using XDAC as an ADO proxy. Full functioning, 35-day trial includes XDAC3 component, XDAC configurator to manage configuration files, sample ASP pages and sample Access database.
