RGA License Manager provides the developer with a simple system to manage code key activation of any software package. With it, designers can simply set up their software to run as an evaluation version or to run only after a user has entered a name, a company name (or E-mail address or whatever) and a release key.
Software developers can configure their software to require immediate entry of the release information before it will run at all, or to allow the software to operate in evaluation mode for a designer selected period of time (in days), or to run a specific number of times before requiring the key to be entered. Evaluation periods are unaffected by re-installing the software.
V1.3 brings developers the ability to generate Site license corporate roll out keys. With this system the developer can create a special encrypted license file that can be included with the installation file set. The license check facility in RGA License Manager looks for this file each time it runs. If it is found the license key information is returned to the developers program and all evaluation settings are by-passed. This allows the developer to fully personalise software for large corporate roll outs without any change to the normal program set up (other than including the special license file). The developer can use the key information provided by License Manager to display registered user information anywhere in the program at runtime as a protection mechanism.
