Hi. I’m Bryant Clark. My wife, Montina, and I built our first new home several years ago. We didn't know where to begin. We knew the building plans were located in our local do-it-yourself center, and we studied them for weeks. Finally, we bought a beautiful four-bedroom house plan with lots of square footage and character.

We had one option left: begin our own research. We began talking to others who’d gone through (or were in the process of) building a new home. Each person gave us money-saving tips they’d discovered along the way. Some were small in scope. Others were huge.
