From the desk of

Sharon Casey Bruneau, QMRP

Dear Friend,

If you or a family member has a child (or is about to) that's been diagnosed with Down syndrome, then please read this letter as if your child's future depends on it...because it very well might.

Without proper care and treatment, your child will grow up lacking the necessary skills to function normally in society and even care for themselves. Traditionally, that's the been the case with most Down syndrome affected people.

But recent research reveals that your child has a real chance at developing close to "normal" if you provide the correct treatment during the all important first year.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Sharon Casey Bruneau. Ive worked with Down syndrome affected people for the last 11 years. Im not a doctor, but a Qualified Mental Retarded Professional and someone who cares passionately about these people. I want to do everything possible to help the families of newborns diagnosed with Down syndrome because every day I see the sad situation of adults who grew up without the proper care.

Many of these adults are still learning to brush their teeth, to eat properly using manners and to use appropriate social manners in society. I am saddened by their situation because they never ever had a chance to develop when they were young.

But, this is not how your child will end up if you take action now.

™ve created an amazing resource to help the families of newborns with Down syndrome to give their child the best possible care, support and assistance so they can develop to their fullest potential. I'm here to bring a message of hope for a bright future.

Valuable Resource For New Parents

I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and have worked with parents who have children with special needs.

This is the best book I have read that has information on Down syndrome and what to expect during the first year of a newborn's life. It is full of information that is valuable to a parent whose life has turned upside down.

It is comprehensive, reassuring, informative and in my opinion a must have, must read. The author, Sharon, does an excellent job of explaining babies with special needs are babies with the same wants, needs and care like any other child.

You may feel overwhelmed with the impending changes in your life that are going to occur in learning how to care for your newborn baby diagnosed with Down syndrome. This is natural, and during this time you need good, solid advice and help.

The old tales, uninformed opinions and, even at times, frightening stories of issues connected with disabilities that others share can cause fear and anxiety - anxiety that needs to be dealt with based on the real facts and real support about the process of raising a baby diagnosed with Down syndrome.

Until now, it's been difficult to find practical, useful information contained in one resource. During a time when dealing with emotions, preparing for your newborn, and other changes, you don't have the time to spend days (or even weeks) searching for the information on Down syndrome to help you through this time. You can now avoid this needless frustration.

I've spoken with many families who have Down syndrome children and they agree that if they had had this information when their children were young, their children's lives would have been much improved.

That's why I've created an incredible resource in an e-book format (which means you can download and access this important information right away) titled 'How To Provide The Optimum Care For Your Baby With Down Syndrome' For the first time, this book presents

What Everybody Should Know... About How To Provide The Optimum Care For A Baby Diagnosed With Down Syndrome

'How To Provide The Optimum Care For Your Baby With Down Syndrome ' is a comprehensive manual, over 160 pages, that covers the important issues about your newborn, their first year, you and Down syndrome. This book makes learning about this time in your life easier. In fact, the hardest problem you may face is putting this book down since I have filled the pages with so much practical information and helpful advice.

This book is a special edition written to assist everyone who has or knows of someone with a baby diagnosed with Down syndrome. To assist them through the first year of their newborn's life.

Here's how this book will help you:

  • Understanding the diagnosis of Down syndrome. It's one thing to have a baby and receive the well-meaning - but often incorrect support and advice from others, but when your baby is diagnosed with Down syndrome, people find it a monumental task to learn everything they need to know and feel comfortable. By understanding what Down syndrome is, its causes and characteristics you will be prepared to face different issues that will arise as you raise your baby.
  • Developmental Milestones: Find out the developmental milestones that Down syndrome babies have difficulty meeting. You'll know what to expect, how to help your baby speed up their development, as well as parenting tips for caring for your new baby during these first critical months.
  • Discover positioning tricks for breastfeeding or bottle feeding babies with Down syndrome. Many people feel that they are fighting their newborn every step of the way, almost like they have to force feed their baby. That doesn't have to be the case when you understand how to work with your baby's natural body instincts.
  • Understanding the sleeping patterns specific to babies with Down syndrome. When you discover how to maximize your babies rest, your baby will sleep better and be calmer and healthier.
  • Discover the best six ways to stimulate your baby's mental development. Babies with Down syndrome have a slower developmental rate. However, learning the best six ways to stimulate your baby will assist him/her in achieving a greater range of development the first year that will put your baby ahead of the game.
  • You'll also learn potential difficulties that can occur, and warning signs you should be aware of-as well as things you can do to help prevent problems. Babies with Down syndrome have special medical issues. To avoid becoming overwhelmed with the medical attention your baby might need, you'll find out the causes and nature of your baby's medical conditions so you'll be able to respond in a nurturing and timely fashion.
  • The best home environment-getting ready: Everyone struggles with the way a baby with Down syndrome should be raised and the structure of the environment. People even begin to argue and fight over this issue. This doesn't have to be. The best strategies, interactions and structure are explained to ease your mind and to get family, relatives, and friends, etc. to work together to foster the best home environment for the baby.
  • Find out the five things you should never do with a baby with Down syndrome. Remember, a baby with Down syndrome has to struggle harder that a 'normal' baby. To give your baby the best possible advantage to develop physically, mentally, and medically throughout the first year you must know the five things you must never do.
  • Emotional changes: these are often overlooked or minimized, but I address them carefully. After all, this is a time when emotional support and caring guidance is most critical as you deal with the tremendous life task changes that occur.

And this is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. From my personal experiences and in-depth research, this 'How To Provide The Optimum Care For Your Baby With Down Syndrome ' is a resource that you can refer to again and again, and always have at your fingertips when these questions come up.
