Why do I get GERD?
You can get GERD and heartburn from a number of different things. Some of these would include: Digestive problems, a damaged lower esophageal sphincter, an over acidic stomach, eating a large meal or H. pylori bacterium.
People usually suffer from GERD because they have a damaged lower esophageal sphincter and esophagus. Sometimes this damage from GERD is negligible and other times it is very bad. Nonetheless it is simple to cure!
GERD and heartburn occurs when vapors from the stomach acid makes contact with the sores on the esophagus. This can hurt a lot - like a burning feeling in the chest. Ever get any acidic vinegar on a cut? Hurts doesn’t it?
Drinking orange or tomato juice can be a painful experience for someone with esophagus lesions, as the acid in the juice will burn their throat. Evidently, if drinking acidic juice doesn't cause someone pain they probably never get GERD or heartburn because their digestive system is working effectively.
Can I Correct It?

About GERD
Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, affects at least an estimated 5% to 7% of the global population - men, women and children. (Frequency set by once daily heartburn.) Weekly experience of acid regurgitation and/or heartburn occurs in nearly 20% of individuals.
Despite the fact that GERD is widespread, many people don't know what it is and aren't aware of the warning signs. This is unlucky, because it is usually a curable problem. There can be nasty consequences if it isn't suitably taken care of.
Persistent heartburn is the most frequent, but not the only symptom of GERD. (The disease can be carried by a lot of people, without any indicators that it is there.) Most people who suffer from regular heartburn do not realize their problem could be the result of a disease they are carrying. It is a widespread practice for people to wrongly self-treat their GERD.
GERD is an unceasing disease unless it is managed correctly. Treatment usually must be maintained on a long-term basis, even following the disappearance of all the symptoms. Treatment will include a addressing the problems of revising daily living procedures and the long-term use of medication. These two things can be accomplished by using follow-up, support and education. Learn More about GERD
