Reader tip:
When the volunteers are lining up let them, however, it will benefit everyone if you ask a friend to help you organize this outreach.  It can be overwhelming for you and especially since you need to REST in the first few weeks.  It is counter productive when tons of great food are stacked in the fridge and you can’t possibly eat it all.  It’ll just go to waste.  Apply this to visitors as well.  I found a strange double-edged sword to it all.  I was so tired from visiting and talking on the phone the first 2 weeks I was goofy.  Be honest,  you won’t offend anyone and yes, by means cash in.  You are providing a chance for a friend to help you.  It’s a good thing.
