Welcome to my Pregnancy Nutrition Guide.

My name is Michelle. In April 2002, I was newly pregnant and starting to become anxious about my changing body, both inside and out.

With fifteen years of experience as a Nutrition & Health Coach, a Holistic Nutrition Masters Degree, a Certificate in Personal Training, and a Psychology Degree, I was silly thinking I had the whole pregnancy and body and food thing covered – BOY WAS I WRONG!

I had SO MANY Questions

• How much weight SHOULD I gain? Am I gaining too fast?
• How do I stay toned with exercising? How do I gain weight in my stomach area only?
• What should I eat? What do I need to avoid?

So, being the information hound that I am, I went looking for answers. Unfortunately, I came up short. Most of the fashionable pregnancy books were either too medical (making me more nervous and anxious) or too playful (not giving me enough practical advice).

Also, I realized that the common feeling out there is that that pregnant women gain tons of weight, and that pregnancy is a struggle, they wear over-sized shirts, feel uncomfortable and don't have much energy.

Not me! I was eager to LOOK good, feel great, and have TRUCK LOADS of energy during my pregnancy. I also aimed to be FREE of aches and pains, dress hot & sexy and of course have an easy time losing weight after having my baby.

And I did it.

Many New Moms are Full of Regret
Most pregnant women let themselves go, indulge in their cravings, stop exercising and use pregnancy as an excuse to eat the house.

There’s no arguement that when you have a larger belly, feel sick & nauseous and have aches and pains – the last thing you feel like doing is getting up off the couch or thinking about what you’re about to eat.

And that’s why most pregnant women gain more weight than they should, struggle to lose the excess pounds afterwards, and feel miserable.

How often do you hear mothers moaning about the “last ” few pounds from pregnancy that they are unable to lose?

And how many women do you know that have turned to using restrictive diets and strict exercising routines (all the weight-loss “tricks”) to get rid of those UNWANTED post-pregnancy pounds?

In fact, many women spend the rest of their lives feeling like they’ll never get their “pre-pregnancy” body back– they don’t feel sexy or attractive.

Could've, would've, should've, Don't be full of regret. Never let this happen to you!

You CAN make your pregnancy a SUCCESS for both baby and you – it’s not as hard as you think (and it WILL set you up for afterwards!).

It just takes a little effort for HUGE gains.

Many Pregnancy Books Are All About BABY
Pregnancy books will recommend you to eat 300 more calories and to exercise – but that’s just about all. Nowhere could I find exactly WHAT I should or could do in any real detail.

Even though I was an “expert” in non-pregnancy fitness, I had TONS to learn about “pregnancy + fitness”. I remember trying to find out HOW I should modify my exercise routine for my pregnancy – what was safe to do and what I needed to AVOID.

Wow, you think it would be easy to find simple tips like - do not lift above your head or lie down on your back after the first trimester, it wasn’t! I knew the methods for working my abdominal muscles, but I did not know EXACTLY what I could or couldn’t do now that I was exercising for two.

And it wasn’t just exercise - I can remember having questions about hair dye and herbal teas that I couldn’t find straight answers to.
