Welcome to my guide on Pregnancy Weight Loss.

My name is Michelle. In April 2002, I was newly pregnant and starting to become anxious about my changing body, both inside and out.

With fifteen years experience as a Health and Nutrition Coach, a Holistic Nutrition Masters Degree, a Degree in Psychology, and a Personal Training Certificate, I believed I had the entire pregnancy, body, food thing sorted out – BOY WAS I WRONG!

I had SO MANY Questions

• How much weight SHOULD I put on? Am I putting on weight too fast?
• How do I stay toned with exercising? How do I gain weight in my stomach area only?
• What food do I need to avoid? What should I eat?
• Will my stomach ever get back to normal?
• How can I stop cellulite, stretch marks, and sagging breasts from occurring?

• What can be done to have a rather easy delivery?
• What should I be doing now to speed up my weight loss after?

So, being the information hound that I am, I went looking for answers. Sadly, I came up short. Most of the fashionable pregnancy books were either too medical (making me more anxious and nervous) or too playful (not giving me enough practical advice).

The general feeling out there that I realized is that that pregnant women gain tons of weight, and that pregnancy is a struggle, they wear over-sized shirts, feel uncomfortable and don't have much energy.

Not me! I became determined to LOOK great and have loads of energy during my pregnancy. I also aimed to be FREE of aches and pains, dress hot & sexy and of course have an easy time losing weight after having my baby.

And I did it.

Most New Moms are Full of Regret
Most pregnant women indulge in their cravings, they let themselves go, halt exercising and use pregnancy as a justification to eat the house.

There’s no arguement that when you have a larger belly, feel sick & nauseous and have aches and pains – the last thing you feel like doing is getting up off the couch or thinking about what you’re about to eat.

And that’s why most pregnant women gain more weight than they should, struggle to lose the excess pounds afterwards, and feel miserable.

How many times do you hear new moms complaining about the “last” five or ten pounds from pregnancy that they just CAN’T seem to lose?

And how many women do you know who have resorted to using strict exercising routines (all the weight-loss “tricks”) and restrictive diets to get rid of those UNWANTED post-pregnancy pounds?

In fact, many women spend the rest of their lives feeling like they’ll never get their “pre-pregnancy” body back– they don’t feel sexy or attractive.

Could've, would've, should've, Don't be full of regret. Never let this happen to you!

You CAN make pregnancy a SUCCESS for both you and your baby – it’s not that hard (and it WILL set you up for afterwards!).

It just takes a little effort for HUGE gains.

Many Pregnancy Books Are All About BABY
Pregnancy books will tell you to eat an extra 300 calories and to exercise – but that’s about it. Nowhere could I find exactly WHAT I could/should do in any detail.

Even though I was an “expert” in non-pregnancy fitness, I had TONS to learn about “pregnancy + fitness”. I remember how I tried to find out HOW I should modify my general exercise routine for my pregnancy – what I needed to AVOID and what was safe to do.

Wow, you think it would be easy to find simple tips like - don’t lift over your head or lie on your back after the first trimester, it wasn’t! I knew how to work out my abdominals, but I didn’t know EXACTLY what I could or couldn’t do now that I was pregnant

Being a coach – I worked out that I would have to come up with my own pregnancy program to continue to being HEALTHY and SEXY whilst being a pregnant mama!
