FileDownload deploys files to temporary directories to allow for better control over downloads from your site. Downloadable files on the site can be stored in a folder that’s inaccessible from the web and made available only after a visitor registers or follows a certain procedure. The files are copied into randomly generated directories that can be removed after a certain date (recommended availability of files is 48 hours). Providing a directory name at execution time copies multiple files into the same directory.
