CodeBrainQ CounterKit - This is a text-based counter script that performs two functions. It increases the count by one, and then prints the new count to the page. If the ShowIP feature is enabled in the script, then the page visitor's IP will likewise be displayed. You can make the counter output appear in any font face, size, or color; just use font tags around the SSI include. If you don't want the counter visible on the page, mae, make the color in those font tags the same as the background color of the page.

CountSSI - Countssi.cgi is your fast counter that use SSI (Server Side include). It will grab the daily, weekly and global hints for each page of your website that contain the SSI tag. It will also grab the environmental variable of operating systems and browsers info from your visitors. The output text is customizable (options: Daily - Weekly or ALL only, mixed info like ALL + Daily or no display - Hidden).

CronCount - CronCount is an access counter, written in Perl 4, which can be used with most web servers running under a UNIX ® operating system. CronCount is appropriate for individual use, or can be used to offer access counts to an entire site. And, unlike alternative approaches, CronCount does not depend on either CGI or server-side include access.

DCCount - DCCount98 is a multi-page, text-based counter script. In addition to displaying the number of visitors on each page, the script will also display visitor count of all pages. Click on the counter display to see page stat. This script requires Server-Side Include.

This is a simple sort of "hidden" counter. It is designed to be used in lieu of an image tag, so instead of doing img src="whatever.gif", you might use img src="counter.cgi". The script increments a counter in a file, then returns the gif image. The person visiting your page need never know you have an ave an embedded counter going.
