Travel Tip of the Day - This script was originally conceived for a group of travel zines from the same publishing company to create interesting links to the sister publications. Basically it outputs a text in a frame or table (depending on the page setting) that rotates daily using the content of a data file that can be expanded by the participating sites with new tips. It could easily be adapted to other themes such as Tech Tip of the Day or Money Tip of the Day, etc.

tree (Perl Version) - This program allows you to create a sitemap for your html files. The site map is created by following the directory ectory structure on disk and the files' title tags are taken as the linked text. It can be run either as a normal command line application or as a CGI script.

UDP Test Kit - These two perl5 scripts allow you to stream a file (or internal pattern) between two hosts repeatedly. If any bad packets are received, the listener script will write the
data (both received and expected) to disk for examination. These scripts can be used for isolating network or system problems by showing that traffic is stable and uncorrupted through the network or that traffic is stable coming out of a system.

Usenet Web Gateway - This gateway consists of programs running on a web server that allow users to read usenet messages, post usenet messages, search the messages, etc. from a web browser. User Reservation System - This program is designed for a site owner that wishes to have users apply for a reservation. When a user applies for a reservation, the system looks in the database and if that is already reserved it returns a screen to the user with the times for that date that are still available. Upon submission of a reservation that is available, the personal information that they entered is written to the data base and a copy of what they submitted is sent to them in a e-mail and a copy is sent to the admin of the site.
