I snored severely.
It plagued me in my youth, when I would keep friends up all night if we went on trips.

- Snoring arises when the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting easy and normal breathing during sleep.
- Breathing through the mouth (as a result of a nasal blockage) can cause snoring. If the mouth is open, the tongue is forced back and pushes the uvula against the back of the throat.
- Muscles in the airway are kept open when you are awake, but sag inwards during sleep. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.
