- Snoring arises when the air passage is blocked, thereby inhibiting easy and normal breathing during sleep.
- The sound of snoring varies with the degree of obstruction.
- When you are awake, your throat muscles stay open, but when you sleep the muscles relax and sag inwards Snoring occurs when the airways is blocked by muscles that relax too much.
