I snored severely.

  • Snoring occurs when the air passage is hindered, thus inhibiting usual and easy breathing while asleep.


  • Nasal blockages can cause snoring because the person has to breathe through their mouth. When the mouth is open, the tongue gets pushed back and makes the uvula to push against the back of the throat.


  • When you are awake, your throat muscles stay open, but when you sleep the muscles relax and sag inwards When they relax more than necessary the airway can become blocked and snoring will result.
