I had a very bad snoring problem.

When I was young, trips with friends would be terrible as my snoring would keep them up all night.

Snoring Facts

  • Snoring occurs when the air passage is hindered, thus inhibiting usual and easy breathing while asleep.


  • Muscles in the throat, which are open while the body is awake, relax and sag during sleep. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.


  • Nasal blockages can cause snoring because the person has to breathe through their mouth. In an open-mouth position the tongue is pushed back causing the uvula to press against the back of the throat.
