I snored severely.
In my youth it plagued me - going out on trips with friends I would keep them up all night by snoring.

Snoring Facts
- Snoring occurs when the air passage is hindered, thus inhibiting usual and easy breathing while asleep.
- Nasal blockages can cause snoring because the person has to breathe through their mouth. In an open-mouth position the tongue is pushed back causing the uvula to press against the back of the throat.
- The sound of snoring varies with the degree of obstruction.
- Muscles in the throat, which are open while the body is awake, relax and sag during sleep. Snoring happens when these muscles become too relaxed and start to block the throat.
- Overweight middle-aged (or older) men and overweight menopausal women may develop a snore.
