This award winning tool helps you to recover drive space that's been lost to unnecessary or unwanted files. Working from a series of picklists and checkboxes, you configure it to search for a host of specialized file types. Use DiskArella to search for those orphaned, obsolete, or duplicate files that are undoubtedly all over your system. The program performs its searches based on the criteria you set up. Search with wildcards or specific file dates, look for files that haven't been used since a set date, or view informative graphs about your drive's file particulars. Once found, unwanted files can be deleted, recycled, moved, or examined more closely. A Quick Clean feature brings cleanup routines for browser cache, cookie, and history files. Other features not available in similar programs: File's executable status (so you know what operating system the file was really intended for), file description, wasted space, and age. Also, color codes are used in the search results, to indicate if files are critical, non-critical, haven't been used for a long period, or belong to program that you installed using a Setup Wizard.
