saves all your important changed or new files below your project directories
into zip archives with one click or at predefined times without any action
required from you. In case disaster happens you can restore from the archives directly;
further you can use Daily Backup as a date based version system so you can go back to a
previous day in your project.
With the control panel you specify which directories to save, where to create
the zip archives, which file type to include in (or exclude from) the backup.
Further you schedule when to make a backup. You'll schedule the exact time of
the backup so it will be started without your interaction. If you like to leave
before backup time you can activate the backup&logout or backup&shutdown entry
of the daily backup program group. If you continue work after backup time these
entries add the files to the archive.
Daily Backup can make complete backups to save all files, and make incremental backups which save only the changed or newly created files.
The source and destination can be anywhere in the network so you can backup to and from
different systems.
You can restore the backup archives with and without a complete installation of Daily backup. Via the control panel you go to the restore dialog. There you select the directory and archive
to restore from. You cannot only restore the most recent version of all files, but also rollback
to any date upto the last complete backup. Further you can restore selected files or one file
at a certain date only.
If you put a copy of Daily Backup in an archive you can run it without having to
license it. It works on the current archive only and does not provide backup but can only
restore the files found.
