My name is Michelle. In April 2002, I was newly pregnant and starting to become anxious about my changing body, both inside and out.
With 15 years knowledge as a Health & Nutrition Coach, a Holistic Nutrition Masters Degree, a Certificate in Personal Training, and a Psychology Degree, I thought I had the whole pregnancy, body, food thing worked out – BOY WAS I WRONG!

I had SO MANY Questions

So, being the information hound that I am, I went looking for answers. Sadly, I came up short. Most of the fashionable pregnancy books were either too medical (making me more anxious and nervous) or too playful (not giving me enough practical advice).
Also, I realized that the common feeling out there is that pregnancy is a great effort and that pregnant women have big weight gains, wear very large shirts, feel rather uncomfortable and have little energy.
Not me! I was determined have LOTS of energy and to LOOK great while being pregnant. I was also going to be FREE of aches and pains, dress sexy and of course have an easy time losing weight after I delivered my baby.
And I did it.
Many New Moms are Full of Regret
A lot of pregnant women let themselves go, indulge in food cravings, cease exercising and use pregnancy as a reason to eat out the house.
There’s no denying that when you have a big belly, feel nauseous and have aches and pains – the last thing you feel like doing is getting up off the couch or thinking about what you’re about to put in your mouth.
And that’s why most pregnant women gain more weight than they should, struggle to lose the excess pounds afterwards, and feel miserable.
How often do you hear mothers moaning about the “last” five or ten pounds from pregnancy that they just CAN’T seem to lose?
And how many women do you know that have turned to using restrictive diets and strict exercising routines (all the weight-loss “tricks”) to get rid of those UNWANTED post-pregnancy pounds?
In fact, many women spend the rest of their lives feeling like they’ll never get their original body back– they don’t feel attractive or sexy.

Pregnancy Books Are All About BABY
Pregnancy books will tell you to eat and additional 300 calories, and to exercise – but that’s just about all. I couldn't find anywhere exactly WHAT I could or should do in any detail.
Even though I was an “expert” in non-pregnancy fitness, I had TONS to learn about “pregnancy + fitness”. I remember when I was trying to find out HOW I could modify my exercise routines for my own pregnancy – what was safe to do and what was needed to AVOID.
You think it would be rather easy to find simple advice like - do not lift above your head or lie down on your back after the first trimester, it wasn’t! I knew how to work my abdominal muscles, but I didn’t know EXACTLY what I could or couldn’t do now that I was exercising for two.
And it wasn’t just exercise - I remember having questions about herbal teas and hair dye that I couldn’t find straight answers to.
Being a coach – I realized that I would have to CREATE my OWN pregnancy program if I was going to be a HEALTHY and SEXY pregnant mama!
Other pregnant women would talk to me after I had my baby and only then that I realized – a LOT of them were asking all the questions that I had already the ANSWERS to.
